We built WellKept Pet because our own dogs deserved better.
The first time we boarded our rescue, Ollie, we picked him up three days later and he didn't eat for a week. No one had played with him. No one had learned his name. He was a crate number.
We started WellKept Pet because pets aren't boarders, and sitters aren't transactions. They're neighbors. They're families. They're the person across the street who names every dog on the block and the retired teacher with a fenced yard and four decades of dog-mom experience.
Our platform exists to put pet parents and those sitters in the same place. We vet carefully. We only take sitters we'd leave Ollie with. And we design every part of the experience — from the booking flow to the photo updates — around a simple idea: your dog is family, and family deserves to feel that way even when you're apart.
The values behind every booking.
Care over scale
We'd rather have the right sitter for you than the closest one. Our matches are hand-curated when they need to be.
Transparency
Flat pricing, no upsells, no surprise fees. What you see at booking is what the sitter is paid.
Real humans, not chatbots
When you message support, a person on our team reads it and replies. Most messages get a same-day response; urgent stay issues get prioritized.
Fair to sitters
We take a smaller cut than our competitors because great sitters deserve to make great money.
Pet-first
Every design decision starts with one question: is this better for the animal? It rules out a lot.
Built by owners
Everyone on the WellKept Pet team has a pet. The product we build is the product we'd want to use.
